In September of 2005, the Tuxedo Community Centre became one of the newest members of the Winnipeg Minor Basketball Association (WMBA). The WMBA offers a basketball program from children ages 6 - 19. The WMBA runs a fall league starting in October that includes 16 regular season games plus play-offs, ending in March. Spring league starts in April and includes a 10 game season, plus play-offs, ending in June. The league is open to both boys and girls. The Association follows a fair play policy that encourages participation, development and fun. The Association is tiered into a community centre league and a district league for more advanced players.
