FEE SUBSIDY PROGRAM - The General Council of Winnipeg Community Centres (GCWCC) – Community Centre Program Registration Fee Subsidy

This program is designed to assist those children/youth who would not otherwise be able to participate in Community Centre activities. This grant is available to Community Centres. The applications are available through your Sport Convenor. See Page 10 of the 'Everyone Can Play' guide for eligibility.

Spring registration has taken place. Please contact the co-ordinator for late registration information.

Take note of the following information regarding our Mini Soccer Program

  • Duration - typically the program runs from early May until mid June.
  • You will receive an email from the respective age convenor with your child's game schedule and start date about mid April.
  • If a parent is interested in coaching, please sign up during registration.
  • The are NO GUARANTEES with late registrations both for a specific team or if you will even get a space. All children who register ON TIME will be placed on a team. $10 per person will be charged for late registrations. All mini soccer convenors are Volunteers who offered their time to organize this program so please register on time.
  • We will try our best to accommodate player and friends requests.
  • Our fields accommodate 6 teams of approximately 10 players each. Once teams are full and registration has taken place, we may no longer will be able to accommodate late registrations.

Be A Soccer Referee - Register Now at www.wseu.ca

Winnipeg South End United is looking for youth ages 13+ (by April 30, 2016) who are interested in becoming a soccer referee. It is a great part time job opportunity. The outdoor season runs from April to September and all games are located within the Winnipeg South End United district. Recreational Outdoor Soccer (9 - 18 Years Old) Spring Program

The U9 - U12 season is May and June

The U13 - U18 season is May and June and then breaks for July and August. The season resumes briefly after September long weekend for playoffs.

Game days:
 U9 and U11 - Tuesday and Thursday
U10 and U12 - Monday and Wednesday
U13, U15, U17 - Tuesday, Thursday and occasionally Friday and Sunday
U14, U16, U18 - Monday, Wednesday and occasionally Friday and Sunday

Game times:
Weekday games are played at either 6:15pm or 7:30pm.

Roster Sizes

 U9 - U10: Maximum 12 players
U11 - U12: Maximum 15 players
U13 - U18: Maximum 18 players

It is possible that your child will play at an alternate community centre depending on the number of registrations at each centre. You will be notified where your child is playing after the WSEU team placement meeting.

Teams are allocated based on having a coach and filling the roster size as noted above. If there is a player that your child would like to play with please note that on your registration and we will do the best to accommodate the request.

Fees - 2017

 U9 - U12: $225
U13 - U18: $240

Cheques or cash will be accepted as payment.

A $30 jersey deposit will be required once your child is placed on a team and the jersey's are distributed.

Coaches and Assistant Coaches are required to complete the Respect in Sport (RIS) online certificate. The certificate number for the RIS must be provided to the TCC Convener. Coaches and Assistant Coaches are also required to complete a Child Abuse Registry Check and a Criminal background check. TCC will reimburse team officials for these costs. There will be a coaches meeting held by WSEU, time and place TBD.

Your child must be registered at the Tuxedo Community Centre on the registration dates indicated. Late registrations may be accepted, however, late registrations will be noted and will be last to be assigned to a team. If teams are FULL, late registrants will not be given a spot. $25.00 LATE REGISTRATION FEE WILL APPLY IN ALL CASES. After March 15th, NO FURTHER LATE SOCCER REGISTRATIONS can be accepted as teams will have been formed with the other WSEU community centres.
