Kids of Mud is the official youth cycling program for the Manitoba Cycling Association and designed to improve the skill and confidence of kids riding mountain bikes.  All children wishing to get involved must have a helmet, (must be ANSI/SNELL/CSPC approved) a mountain bike with hand brakes and gears, and be able to ride without training wheels.  Training with Kids of Mud includes safety, braking, gears, hills, racing (optional), riding over small and large obstacles, trail riding, and more.  A Kids of Mud club rides RAIN or SHINE, with the exception of thunderstorms.  With this in mind, kids need to be dressed appropriately for the weather ie: Rain jacket, toque, full finger gloves, mosquito repellant, etc.
