• HOLIDAY HAMPER

The last number of years we have worked with the N.E.E.D.S. Centre to sponsor a family in December. The Centres primary goal is to “enhance their integration into Canadian society by providing youth with employment, education, and social recreation programs.” We will ask Preschool families to bring in an assortment of food and clothing items as per a list provided by the Centre which will be posted at the Preschool in late November.  www.needsinc.ca
 

 

• YOU CAN’T SPOIL A BABY DONATION DRIVE

In conjunction with our annual Mother’s Day Tea at the Preschool, we celebrate all Mothers in Winnipeg by partnering with the organization You Can’t Spoil a Baby’. We collect gently used baby items (ages 0-18 months) that are organized and sorted by YCSAB volunteers into gift baskets for expecting Mothers. 100% of your donated items go directly to Manitoban families in need. In late April you will receive some additional information from our Parent Advisory Committee on where and when to leave your gently used items.  youcantspoilababy.org

• FLORAL PHILANTHROPY DAY

“Promoting kindness through the unexpected gift of a flower” In June 2018 our Preschool families and staff participated in a ‘giving’ day by having our 4’s (along with their Parents) deliver flowers to Extendicare Tuxedo Villa. They sang songs to the seniors as well. One parent of our Preschool said it best:

“(I) Love that our preschool doesn't just help us teach our children ABCs but also the importance of
kindness. Thank you!”
